Settlement policy summary
Draft summary. The policy track owns the final text.
Funded balance
A buyer pays from a prepaid balance. A top-up is at least $20.00. Unused funded balance is returned only to the payment method that funded it, top-up by top-up, newest first, when the actor asks or its account closes. A return never takes earned money. A lot whose charge is under an open Stripe dispute waits until the dispute closes. The promotional starting lot is granted on the live mount only and expires 90 days after it is granted if unspent. It is never returned to the actor: any unspent promotional amount goes back to Avair Market. A return the card network refuses because the charge is past its window or was disputed and lost is final. A refusal caused by the card's state on a closed account is retried monthly for 6 months and then held. On an open account a refused lot stays in the balance and the owner may ask again. An account with no activity for 12 months is closed, and its funded balance is returned per lot as on any closure. A closed account's balance that cannot go back stays a standing liability held for the owner and is never paid to a new destination, except a remittance that unclaimed-property law compels, which this policy allows.
The balance stays within a ceiling of $1,000.00. An automatic top-up defaults to at most $500.00 a day and never exceeds $1,000.00 a day.
The first 200 actors with a verified identity each receive a promotional lot of $10.00. It is spendable on purchases only and is never paid out or returned to the actor.
Earnings and payouts
A seller's earnings are pending until their available_at, then available. Avair Market pays out available earnings once a day, once they reach $20.00. A payout the rail refuses is retried hourly for a day, then daily.
Data retention
Avair Market keeps a job's input for 7 days and its output for 30 days. The reproduction record lasts as long as the receipt.
